Happy bank holiday all. Hope the sun shines for you all. Just popped in to let Hosta and Lyn know that gardeners question time is at Rosemoor next week 😊

I'd be more worried about you running down it FG, in case you trip.

It's sunny here and warm, out of the breeze.  We have been all the way to Vouvant for a non existent plant fair.  The eejits put the wrong date on the website when I was fair hunting earlier this year to get my days out in before OH filled up with golf.  Got there to find no fair and leaflets at the café announcing May 20th which is Whit weekend so a public holiday on Monday and the garden group we've joined has cleverly organised 3 visits to gardens with roses et al on that day.  Bums!

However, on the drive there I had one of those moments of illumination to solve a problem with my plans for the fruit cage and remaining raised beds so all is not lost.  We came home and had our picnic on the terrace and, once coffee has been drunk and lunch digested I'll be out there checking measurements so we can order a shed load of timbers and metal struts and some paving for my coffee terrace/rose garden.

I do hope you all warm up and sun up for the long weekend.   May 8th (VE Day) is a holiday here so another long weekend for some.   Have fun with all your planting and weeding and pot shifting  and compost hauling.

Well done Hosta ... one for your Lovely Hub and one for me ... while you my OH roam the Serengeti  ;)

Scorchio here.  Mulched one border and then gave up until this evening when it cools down again.  Sun loungers very much in use.

Plant fair went well - nearly 2k made in an hour of selling - we had a queue outside waiting to get in 😱

    Hello all. Cloudy here.
I'm off to stay with Son 1 tomorrow until Wednesday, then friends are arriving to stay for a couple of days on Wednesday afternoon. Son 1 is 5 hrs drive away. The friends were meant to come on Friday but they have to get back to the UK earlier than planned. When will I have time to do the shopping? Also OH has choir practice on Wednesday evening.

I've been cleaning the best spare room. It had been shut up with the heating off to save money, haven't looked at it for a bit. Mould on the windows and behind the inside wooden shutters and dead cluster flies everywhere. Stains on the carpet, where did they come from? I've been washing everything and shampooing the carpet, taken over 3 hours. Now to do the ensuite bathroom.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
