Just catching up on this thread - so much loveliness ....but those delphiniums are just spectacular 💙💜💙
Thank you,..those Delphiniums caught me off guard this year,..by growing VERY tall and i didn't have sturdier and taller canes to support them,..i just about managed by using lots of twine,..but the weight of just one Delphinium is incredible,..no complaints about the blooms,..they pleased me no end,..the dark blue have just gone to seed while the light blue are in their peak,..your blue hearts are very appropriate for the Dels.
Beautiful pics as always, and lovely to see Foxy Molly enjoying herself in the water. I wonder why that house has been empty for so long. The location is lovely. There must be some history behind it.
That Cottage is prone to being flooded,..i guess it happened once too often for the tenants,..its a beautiful location though.
The entire area i walk along the river and the meadows were up to four foot of water for six months,..up to May.
Yes my views are the opposite from yours! I look out onto a big mountain, with sheep, plus beautiful views down the valley. You have to be quite fit to live here, many steps!!
The whole truth is an instrument that can only be played by an expert.
@Valley Gardener,..i never thought i would settle in an area of which the landscape is so flat,..somehow i adjusted and to make up for missing a view just over the horizon,..i have another bend in the river to explore,..years ago i intended settling in the North West of Ireland,..i made the video below,..it will give you an idea why i loved the area,..though it wasn't the main reason,..the video covers parts of the West Coast where i spent many years.
What a beautiful place! It looks similar in parts to the location for Ryan's Daughter? Ireland certainly has some unspoilt scenery,I can see why Frank Clarke was so inspired in his early work. I love painting seascapes, oil or watercolour.....equally interesting.

@Valley Gardener,..i forgot to look up as to the location used in 'Ryan's Daughter',..it could well be one of those in the video,..i make up those videos with the help of 'Microsoft Photo Story 3',..adding in my own pictures,..plus a time for exposure of each image,..its a free program.

Cape Fuchsia 'Phygelius Funfare Orange',..in full bloom just now.
Mophead Hydrangea Pink,..Blue,..and Lace Hydrangea Pink and Mauve,..all mixed together were not doing so well this year due to the very warm weather,..they are all in large containers,..however with watering early in the morning then again in the evening they have improved greatly and should be in full colour in a short time.
