Never mind @Dovefromabove, pour yourself a glass of water (or maybe something stronger !) and enjoy the video. Could be a YouTube classic.  :)

Was that due to 'pre-drinks' Dove?

I agree, the contents still need to be outed. This could be the best 45+ year old prank someone has ever played.
Sorry you missed it @Dovefromabove, there will be another’s video though soon enough if people still have the curiosity.

End of the day, that thing needs to be broken apart to be gotten rid off, sooo

Dove, what did you miss? Did I miss something?

I missed nothing really ... Except the sense of immediacy ... of 'being there'.  I woke and it was dark and there was a video that everyone else had already seen  :'(
but then I was out in the garden at 4:50 this morning ... Duh!
    night night all  Zzzzzzzzzzz

Thanks James, this has been a great post and has kept all of us amused for ages.
I'm glad the wire was not connected to anything. I have a sneaky feeling that there is going to be nothing inside after all. Still, you're quite famous now!

I'm glad it didn't explode.. but I am interested to see whats in the middle.. I'm going for the kinder egg theory.  There MUST be something inside.. otherwise, what is the point?
That's the thing now. There's either something interesting inside, which will be great, or there will be nothing inside but rubble leaving us to wonder what the hell possessed someone to make a ventilated rubble barrel thingy in the first place. and I don't think anything will explain why the previous owner just decided to live with it for 45 years.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
