I wanted to create a poll in this post about how to really take on this bugger, but I don’t think you can do it in an existing discussion. It turns out that the solution of what I believe the best way to take on the white thing is probably a combination of the options I would have put in the poll.
Plan A:
1. Drill holes around the top of the object.
2. Give it a good whack around those holes.
3. Have a look.
4. Repeat.
Plan B:
1. Dig around the base of the object and see if there is anything keeping it tied deeper in the ground.
Is it very securely attached to its base? Have you tried rocking it to see if it will come loose? I'd attack the base and see if it will detach then try and push it over. Drilling enough holes to split it cleanly would probably take forever and ruin the bit.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
I’ve got a hammer drill which should be fine with concrete but I agree with hitting the base. The whole thing doesn’t move at all - but that could be down to my strength
