    A kinder surprise for adults.
    But what's inside it?
    Hope it's not Dave's "zombie"😱.

Have you poked it yet @james239

Thanks for all your responses. I asked the estate agent to get in touch with the previous owner and she said it was there before she moved in - and she was there for 45 years!
It's an old thing, for sure.

There seems to be a metal casing inside and the outer casing is solid. I tweeted Thames water and they say it's nothing to do with them, my gas man doesn't think it has anything to do with gas. I think I'm going to have to dig around it and see what happens.

I'd call in the Bomb Disposal Squad ... they'd probably dig the whole garden over for you  ;)

On the other hand, if it's buried treasure, don't forget who your friends are

Any chance you could dig it now? I’m not sure I can cope with the suspense much longer!

Absolutely agree Jellyfire ... it's cold and drizzly here in Norfolk so not gardening weather ... supper is all prepped so nothing other than knitting on the schedule today as OH has permission to spread his stuff over my half of the studio today .........   Go on James, we need some entertainment  B)

I'm going to tackle it tomorrow evening. Hopefully a little drizzle will make the ground a bit easier to dig. I reckon the previous owners painted it white. They have literally painted over everything in the house, so I don't see why they would stop with a strange concrete barrel from the future.
