I tried - honestly! but the leaves were coming down faster than I could clear them and then we had two massive gusts whilst I was right underneath the very tall birch trees which rather freaked me out, so I retreated to the safety of indoors.  It had hit 23 degrees earlier, most unusual with such a strong wind in October.

Just gusty winds here in Kent, but forgot I’d left a pot of Cuprinol out on the terrace so I’ve got a drying puddle of cream colour - had to paint the planter I got it for rapidly!  :)

OH and I nipped out quickly in the rain as I'd forgotten to move the saucers out from under 6 pots on the terrace steps - they were almost floating! I think that's it for the day though.

And cutting lettuce for lunch? Fortunately it's just outside the back door or I'd have gone without!

Diana , definitely counts as gardening 😉
  • Straightened a few battered plants, sold a couple of bags of cooking apples to passersby and made plans for the garden in the coming week.

Had an hour doing a few jobs - the large Ceanothus had a wayward branch (storm-related) so I pulled that in with a rope (got a splinter!), cut down half the battered Dahlia (oops - I put the blooms in a vase outside and forgot to brings in!), swept leaves (again) and netted out some leaves from the pond.
My garden and I live in South Wales.
