decided the peas I sowed a fortnight ago weren't going to germinate after all, so got my 6 yr old granddaughter Jessica to re-sow some new ones - appropriately called "Jessy".
The association hadn't struck me when I bought them Thursday. Now she says they are her peas!

Finally got three bushes in the ground I bought several weeks ago.. two honeyberry and a service berry to help pollinate my existing plant.  It won't do it's job this year though.. as the one I purchased has now finished blooming, while mine is just starting!  I assume it was just brought on quicker by the warmer conditions of the garden center, as it's the same variety as the I already have.  I've not grown honeyberry yet, so we'll see how they get on.  They are supposed to be quite tough.

Gave the newly-laid lawn its first mow. Currently researching like mad about the best spot to plant the potted climbing rose as well as alpines for the mini stone wall and a potted honeysuckle.  I find the prep fun, and it’s great to do some actual gardening.

Got loads done today, emptied and refilled pots and planted up phormium pink stripe and clematis tiagia.  Thinned out the forget me nots and grape hyacinths.  Bought a new rose Summer Wine (have no idea where I will plant it).

    Mmm...I thought about it.

A tiny bit of cleaning up, dead heading, watering, took the kids to the park...then watered myself with pouilly fumé.

Been daffodiling this weekend. Dug up a large mixed trugful to decorate the allotment and moved 5 clumps of fancy daffs to new places.

Sowed grass seed on the land reclaimed from the daffs, extending the lawn into an almost-rectangle.

Found some plants I'd lost, think I'm only missing two now. Made plans for potential spaces should something bad happen to the plants already in situ😏
