That's one way to fertilise, I suppose!

  • Hello, I'm hopefully getting an allotment soon! Received a letter from the Town council offering me a half plot (145 sqyd) a week ago. I phoned, but they've got people off sick and the person who usually deals with allotments is on holiday so I haven't been able to view it yet.

Went to have a peek through the gate yesterday morning though, it looks good in there and well looked after. Only 5 minute walk from my house.

Very pleasantly surprised - only sent in the form to be added to the waiting list at the end of April. Expected it to take years!
Congratulations! Having an allotment close to your house is amazing and makes it much easier to just pop down. I got my allotment after a 9 month wait and although it has been a lot of work, I wish I had applied sooner. I love going there, everyone is really friendly and I feel great whenever I go! :-D

Sorry to say quite a lot of strawberries 🍓 where going rotten because of all the rain while we where away , this time last year it was a heat wave hear

Hope you had a good holiday GWRS. Good harvest of strawberries too. They are still white here, you are about two weeks ahead.

I'm growing cuemelons in the GH, the plants are beginning to take off too. Okra not looking it's  best but cues have some large true leaves now and I've some green peppers.

Mr Vine eye. Hope you get your plot soon..
