Looks like another scorcher in Essex today. More pot watering required tonight I think.

Too hot for me right now - although this morning was lovely. We went to the GC and made a detour to walk on the beach on the way home.

Too hot to work in BUT I did do one border today, starting at 08:45 to beat the sun round.  Sitting under the brolly with a glass of icy liquid is my goal in a few mins!

Scorchio here (Glos). 41.7° in the greenhouse with door/windows open and old net curtains for temporary shading. I have been damping down like crazy. Luckily most things don't seem to be suffering. A few plants in garden drooping a bit, but l am only keeping an eye on the newly planted stuff.

Stockton NE, way too hot a nearly cold shower did not alleviate things. 20C though supposedly getting cooler we will see.
Always something in the garden to bring a smile. This morning looking to the top of the garden The Apple tree was in pure white blossom, the Lilac a deep Purple against dark green leaves and the Rhododendron with lovely red flowers, the Pieris in a pot with its tinted leaves made the picture. You may not mix those colours while painting but in nature they meld. I am smiling, "oh" and sweating.

Haute-Garonne SW France, hot yesterday that turned into huge storm overnight. Thunder still rolling around and raining hard at times. Temperature back down to 15c.

My Son and D in Law set their sights on going to France and finally made it. I put it in my "be careful what you wish for book" they bought a place in Gournay-Loize Nouvelle-Aquitaine, made the acquaintance of French Plumbers and Garage mechanics not a good memory for them then it was too hot in summer and too cold in winter. They keep asking me when I will visit. That is in my other book "been there done that got the tee shirt and have the scars", They come here when it gets too hot.
Brilliant sunshine here in Stockton a nice breeze blowing through the house, I suppose we get used to our own area, I have no urge to travel far from it these days. Joanne my Cleaning Lady just came bustling in ready to turf me out, she makes me laugh.
