NE Riviera Stockton some sunshine though I think today will be "sunshine and showers, good for the flowers", (sorry I get carried away) temp 13C could get warmer as the North wind has retired. A wait and see day could well be a wade in the Sea day, "oops"  B) Frank.

Allotment Boy, the pundits say live and learn, I did. The Sun is a vicious beast that can raise huge blisters on the body putting you in Hospital then a double punishment you were charged for self inflicted wounds. I watched and took it all in, it took me six months to get my knees brown. They still got me though Dumb Insolence was the charge, the Adjutant could not keep the grin off his face as he heard the Sergeant read out what he thought my face was saying, two days extra duty.
The lesson from that was when I was in the position I took the miscreant into the ring on sports day, I had boxed from being a lad, they never came back.
I will only remove my trousers the old knees should be brown by October.

As I have said before I am one of Billy Connolly's pale blue Scottish people so it's factor 30 and keep my sleeves rolled down  & trousers definitely long. Won't be any more graphic this is a "family" thread after all.

21.3 in the shade in central Norfolk at the moment

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Allotment Boy, tell me about it, I was with the 4th Royal Tank Regiment as an engineer, they were all Scots and on the odd occasion they went on parade Kilted sporran and Hose tops they certainly had blue knees and things, well we could never resist a look under, saying, that we used a long barrelled rifle and 18 inch bayonet, quite touchy lads we found out.
I have seen Billy on stage in a kilt a very funny man.
temperature has shot up and the sun is burning your eye balls out, we may have to plant some Date Palms.
