@fidgetbones my daughter had 11 days in The Galapagos Islands last month. She loved it. I'm sure you will too.

PS Pat, re: mobiles. The key is to use them, rather then let them control you. As others have said, keep it on silent. I rarely take mine out into the garden at all, and it never goes upstairs. If you're taking it out for safety reasons, you can still choose whether it's convenient / necessary to answer straight away.

After the mouse attack on the newly sown sweet peas: I set a trap on Sunday. 1 dead mouse on Monday morning.
I set 3 mouse traps on Monday: 3 dead mice yesterday which Hubby removed and reset.
This morning : another 3 dead mice.
I think all the mice in the area have moved into my polytunnel this winter to escape the weather.

Can't really blame them Hosta.  I think we would all have liked to have been somewhere warm and dry this winter.
On the upside, today is much milder than yesterday and it's dry.

@Joyce21, they'd be more than welcome if they didn't have such hearty appetites. The odd nibble or seed taken is one thing, but wholesale looting is not to be tolerated.

We have noticed a lot more mice in the house this winter.
I tend to ignore them, but OH got a bit freaked when one ran over her feet, whilst she was watching tele., so poison was placed.

Can't remember last time I switched my mobile on, but I do take it with me, when i go out.

Hubby retrieved 3 traps from the attic on Monday ( to use in tunnel ) all had dead mice in them.
@punkdoc do you switch it on when you got out? or just take it in case you need it, then switch it on?
Hubby says " why don't you take your phone into the garden when you're working"
reply " because , when I'm working , I don't want to be disturbed"  DUH.

Just there in case I need it. [ not switched on ]
One of the greatest pleasures of gardening, especially when I worked for a living, was being able to disappear into the garden and be unavailable.
Even now, OH sometimes struggles to find me.

    I couldn't agree more.
If anything is that important, they can leave a message on my landline and I'll get it when I go back indoors.

I don't know if things have changed, but didn't it use to be that you had to make or receive , at least,  one phone call every 3 months to keep the number active
