Afternoon all, Feeling a bit more enthusiastic about life in general today so I've got some h*******k done and then potted up some Bacopa and Convolvulus cneorum.  The dining table in the conservatory is getting full again and so is the greenhouse.  I have perennial babies I could plant out to make more room but with weather behaving so eratically I daren't.
Waiting in for a delivery of a new wheelchair for mum.  The ones at the home are all standard and she needs a bit more room and is getting upset at being put in a chair too small for her.  I have complained before to no avail so decided to buy one for her.  Can't stand the thought of her being upset about such a little thing.
It's been raining for most of the morning but, dare I say it, the sun seems to peeping out a bit now.
Have sent hubby off to the tip to get rid of loads of rubbish and he's picking up some compost from Ashwoods on the way back, dare not go myself as I'd come back with allsorts of stuff and the bank balance wouldn't be happy, (they have a hellebore sale on at the moment).
Thanks for offering to post some piccies hosta.
Hope you enjoy the flwer show on Sunday Lyn.
    Have a good day everyone.

Oh dear ... it doesn't sound good up there Joyce ... it's 16C in the shade in our back garden at the moment ... OH has been removing our old raspberries that are past their best ... I'm going to use that spot in the garden to plant our tomatoes into the soil (that'll cut back on the watering) and we'll grow a couple of blueberries in pots as we both like those ... he's not so keen on raspberries so it's been down to me to eat them all, and despite my best endeavours there were too many for me to tackle alone ... and anyway, it's good to ring the changes  :)

I've been sorting out house and garden pics and this time last year the 2 wisterias were covered with soft purple buds just waiting to burst forth.   4/4/17 -

4/4/18 and just teeny buds starting to form -

I know Obelixx, we were sitting on a beach in Cornwall last Easter and the weather was gorgeous, luckily we're going at whitsun this year instead.  It's been ages since we had such a long cold winter.

Hello everyone.  Late today, still feeling a bit delicate - but better than yesterday.   :)

Well, what a lot of chat since yesterday evening!  It's great to hear all your news.

Pat, clever you to sneak your grandson into the photo... a lovely one to keep!  And yes, your daughter's hair is amazing.  How does she wear it?  Presumably not loose, or it would be getting shut in car doors and tangled in trees...

Punkdoc, hope those tests have been & gone, and the results are better than you feared.

Joyce & LilyP - it's about time we had spring... hope your snow proves to be "winter's last gasp".  And Obelixx - that's a really interesting comparison picture.  It looks as if the late spring isn't confined to Britain.

Yvie, your mum will be much happier in a wheelchair which fits her.  A thoughtful gift.   :)

Wonky - have a lovely birthday!

Happy gardening, Dove - and all those others spending time in the Great Outdoors.   B)

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Gosh, shows the difference, Obelixx. Haven't even pruned mine yet, but that is usually OH's job. Saw those photos straight away. :) That smiley went to the start of the sentence so copied and pasted it, hope it works.

That looks a good flower show, Lyn, I hope you have a good day.

I hope Wonky is having a good Birthday.

Daughter 2 is going to our Norfolk cottage next week, forecast is good, warm, no rain. Maybe spring will arrive chez Joyce soon.

I've been outside cutting everything I could find that needed cutting with OH's electric hedgecutter. Unfortunately I hit a metal plant support and the engine now has a lower note but it still works fine. I was trying to put in a blushing smiley from another site, 3 options, but none worked. Must go and look up smileys.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
