And extremely cold! My finger ends have gone numb already and I’ve only been out to feed the birds.😢

Ditto Lyn. I've come back from town and stuck the heating back on indoors.

Freezing here too.  Have got heating on full blast and wont be venturing into the garden today.  Watered the greenhouse and fed the birds last night when I got back from Firstborn's so a lazy day planned in front of TV.  Have a good un everyone.

We've had a downpour and the wind is getting in all sorts of nooks and crannies under my jumper when going between the house and polyT.

Joyce - Beechgrove is always informative.  Love it.

Hi everyone have not posted on here for a while not just this thread but site in general. Nothing exiting just desperate to catch up with actual gardening so have deliberately not been logging on. Hope you are all ok & you are catching up too. It's hard to believe I  used to do all this AND work full time long hours,  you don't realise how much you slow down when you don't have to do it all. However I am  glad I "made myself" cut the grass last night after my day at Capel Manor. The wet morning means I would not have got it done today.
Question- anyone else had problems with little gem lettuce germination this year. Both me & one of my Allotment friends have had several failures, just trying again with new seed but it's still looking patchy?
    Have a good day all.

Sowed some about 3 weeks ago.  Not a one.  Mind you, several other sets of seeds have yet to show any germination altho the squashes are finally bursting forth.

Several other lettuce varieties have been fine all right next to each other in a thermostatically controlled propagator too! Odd
