on a plus side I had a good old natter with No 1 daughter at 3 am. She's leaving Bolivia on Sunday to meet up with her sister in Mexico. She's having a huge battle with American Airlines who refuse to provide a nut free meal. Kosher, vegan yes but not nut free. So folk who choose a Kosher / vegan diet are catered for , but not those with a potentially life threatening allergy. They said " take medical precautions" she said " if there were "medical precautions" available, there would be no allergy troubles anywhere"
Took the dog for a walk on the beach yesterday morning, glorious, warm sunny but very windy. Picked up as much nylon rope and cord rubbish as I could carry, never seen so much. Loads I had to leave.
Thank goodness we didn't have the blistering heat the rest of the country suffered. They are expecting it to be even hotter today but not down here. Am planning to do some potting on of container plugs etc.
Hosta ... that's just crazy ... and dangerous! Maybe she should tell them she'll sue if she has a bad reaction ... they've been informed and have a duty of care ....
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Glorious sunny morning again here but not quite 10C yet so I have yet to go and uncover the toms. Himself has gone out slathered in sun cream to move stones. I have to get a few things sorted before the oven doctor comes and then I'll go and play too. Hoping to plant the cornuses and conifers this pm.
I hope everyone's enjoying sunshine today except PF as she has to be indoors and wouldn't want to be missing out. Good luck with the sewing project.

I might be going round the house singing "O mio babbino caro" this morning, LG (replacing "Achieved is the glorious work" from Haydn's "Creation", which I'm singing in the town hall on Sunday evening) - it sounds as if you had a great time.
Hope all is well in Fairyland this morning. Glad to hear of so much progress and happiness in people's gardens now the weather is behaving itself for a day or two!
BL, a physio sounds just what you need - Dove's exercises sound good though, too; I was just aching last night and tried them.
Just about to go and hack brambles in the park, with the volunteers. Current temperature in the garden is - drumroll, please - 21.3C!! Haven't had it as warm as that since... August? Might get a bit hot later, but the grass needs cutting this afternoon. It was fast asleep last week, but yesterday I could see it growing in front of my eyes.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
