Don't see anything wrong with a wee bit of self indulgence myself ... that and a bit of love and a lot of tolerance for our fellow travellers is what makes the world go around, eh Pdoc?  ;)

I think they are fine if obvious, and you can easily bypass them.  Not so great for the visually impaired that have a screen reader that reads out the same thing repeatedly.  It is also hard to delineate comments from signatures.  Another accessibility issue.

The following image, shows a snippet of the page in a plain text browser to demonstrate the wall of text effect of comments with signatures.

For anyone constantly complaining about sigs, click on the cog wheel, select edit profile then hi lite signature settings, at the bottom is the options to remove either writing or pictures select one or both  then ‘save’ and you’ll never see them again, easy🙂

In Edit Profile the box for the 'About' info displays one line only and is plain text. It should really display more lines and feature a full (or minimal) text editor.
