Hi guys, the bug causing your posts to disappear *should* be rectified now... Let me know if it happens again...

@Busy-Lizzie this website will tell you how to make Chrome your default browser :  https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95417?co=GENIE.Platform=Desktop&hl=en

You shouldn't need to enter your email address to download Chrome, see if you can just dismiss that message if it comes up.

@Lyn and @Yviestevie - you should both be able to edit your profiles and signatures now - you may need to sign out and then sign back in again beforehand though.

@NoraGW and the tech team, can anyone give Busy-Lizzie some help please 😊.

Yvie, signing out of the forum and then back in again should solve your "profile edit" problem.

Edit: scrap that. Nora snuck in while I wasn't looking 😀.

I got to the search engine bit and ADD then I couldn't understand what to do next. ADD went pale so didn't work. Please someone could you tell me how to make chrome my default browser? If loads of people have done it it can't be that hard, maybe I'm just thick.

I went to Chrome and it said "set as default" I clicked it, a message came up for virtual help and a box came up for my question. The answer was "You can't uninstall or reinstall Internet Explorer 11"

@Busy-Lizzie try doing it from the Start menu on your computer instead - here are some instructions copied from that website:
    1. On your computer, click the Start menu Start menu.
    2. Click Settings Settings.
    3. Open your default apps:
      • Original version: Click System and then Default apps.
      • Creators Update: Click Apps and then Default apps.
    4. At the bottom, under "Web browser," click your current browser (typically Microsoft Edge).
    5. In the "Choose an app" window, click Google Chrome.

To easily open Chrome later, add a shortcut to your taskbar:

    1. On your computer, open Chrome.
    2. In the Windows taskbar at the bottom, right-click on Chrome.
    3. Click Pin to taskbar.

Thank you Nora. I got to 3. Open your default apps. It didn't mention

Original version: Click System and then Default apps.

Creators Update: Click Apps and then Default apps.

so I couldn't go any further.

Busy. I had a similar problem to you and had to download Chrome. You do not have to make it your default browser (despite it constantly telling you that it isn't your default browser). It will still work for you even if it isn't your default. Keep using your IE as usual and keep Chrome for the Forum. That way you don't have to worry about losing passwords etc.
This is what I did, as I use Firefox as my browser. Eventually as the tweaks were made I was able to use Firefox to access the Forum and I could uninstall Chrome which I avoid.
