I didn't realise you could turn the signatures off (thanks for showing how), features like that are good to have (should probably default to no signatures for accessibility).

I agree that the default should be 'no signatures' for the reason you give. Having seen the screenshot of the effect they have for some users it would seem to be the best choice, particularly as those who struggle because of the signature block are also those who will have most difficulty in finding how to remove it.
Nora has always been very helpful to people who have difficulty in setting their Account Options ... and of course the signatures are automatically screened out on the 'mobile' format anyway.
