Not quite sure where to ask this question, so asking it here. Apologies if it's the wrong place.

Are uploaded images (JPGs etc) scanned for viruses before being added to a discussion/post?

Hi @DampGardenMan, yes - we scan image uploads to eliminate any malicious gif/jpg/png files

Why can't I save changes to my profile? I've recently tried to add location, and to renew my profile description, and each time when I press 'Save' it takes me to a page saying I don't have permission to do that!

That problem often occurs.  Signing out and back in usually cures it. I think it is on a very long to do list.

Good news, thanks. It was people mentioning unsecure connections to pages that got me thinking.

Hi Nora. .....I'm being told chrome has stopped working when I attempted to upload a pic.  First time this has occurred.

@Mary370 I am having the same problem as you with the photos using Chrome.  Nora is aware.  I am 'getting round ' it by entering the site through Brave, which is an adblocker.

I don't normally like using adblockers, but have to until this problem has been solved.

I am using a Samsung tablet.

I am having similar problems on my iPad, the threads with ID photos on don’t load then the browser tells me that internet has stopped working and they will reload page.
Its because of the huge photos that are aloud to go on here now.
Spoilt it really as I like to read the ID and other photo threads.
