How annoying, Dove! Happens all too often these days... fortunately our little car has so many scrapes now that we don't bother when it gets a new one, but I remember feeling very protective towards it when it first happened.
Snow has nearly gone, except for a few drifts (and some white bits on the hills). Might do a quick tidy up outside this afternoon and remove some leaves, deposited in the recent winds. It's still too wet for "real" gardening though.
It's good news indeed about NHS pay, even if, spread over 3 years, the rise barely covers inflation...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
It's irritating Dacha ... but no more than that ... she's of an age when she's got a few dings and scrapes from supermarket car parks (always when she was stationary ... not my fault) the first one or two upset me ... not any more

No idea what T cut is or what it would be in French. OH is our specialist for getting scrapes, often self-inflicted on wing mirrors.
The new market was good when I finally got there. Lots of pre-summer season roadworks with long delays between alternating traffic then, as I got into Olonne, little old ladies all over the place either driving erratically or crossing the road with their trolleys. We have fresh clams for spaghetti vongole tonight, spider crab claws to make crab cakes and some Julienne to freeze for later on. OH found some proper cheeses with raw milk and a chap selling his own pork and charcuterie so we have two kinds of cured sausage and some pork sausages with seaweed. I found a stall selling all sorts of honey so I have fresh stocks of lemon honey and a new one with pine which is, apparently, very good for sore throats.
Lunch after that via a stroll along the sea front to the fishing port area. Souep de poisson with all the bits, skirt steak and chips for him, fillet of fish with rice, veggies and beurre Nantais for me and we both finished with a slated caramel fondant which was very gooey and yum. All for 17€50 plus drinks. We shall go there again as the two waiters are comics as well as the food being good.
Then the garage phoned to say Harry has a problem with his cooling system and they need to keep him overnight so after another long stroll we've come home. Good job I'm going nowhere tomorrow then. Lots more roadworks on teh way home. It seems they're laying fibre optic cables!! Not before time.
Still cold out there so I shall happily stay indoors doing other jobs till it warms up. If it's too cold for me, it's too cold for seeds and babies.
Re NHS pay, I think people need to re-evaluate what's important and, for me, it isn't celebs and football.
Pdoc, I hope you didn't fall in.

Sounds a good day, Obelixx. Did you buy anything nice, Joyce?
Had a good day with son 2. We waited until the baby woke up then I fed him and changed his nappy and we went to the Wok place. E, nearly 4, ate pretty well. He had 3 fried spring rolls, they weren't very big though. H, 2 1/2, had mostly chips, ketchup and raw carrots. The raw veg is for the stir fries that the wok man fries for you with your choice of meat, fish and sauce. Baby gurgled happily in a high chair. I've rarely seen him cry. OH joined us, but he didn't go with me to son's house.
After lunch we went for a walk along the path by the river. The willow trees are coming out and there were sleeping ducks under them. The boys took their bikes. H has a bike without pedals that works like a scooter with his feet, he went quite fast. They back to their home for the boys' sleep. Son and I had a chat over coffee.
Then I came home and pruned 1 and a half climbing roses, but the wind is biting so I've come in.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
A good day for you too Busy. Sounds lovely. I like sweet Williams too Joyce but I think I'll have to get seeds as I don't recall seeing any here last year. There are wild primroses and pale cowslips in the hedgerows here at the mo and they are just lovely. I've managed to find some none too gaudy primulas in pots for the garden.

You seem to have had a very pleasant family day.
