Allotment Boy (I think I’m going to call you AB in future 😏). Thanks for kind comments about the bushfire. I think what annoys me most of all is the inconsiderate attitude of those in the office who man the two-way radio with the vatious fire trucks don’t bother to pass on information,so people like me at home stewing, can’t get any progress reports. And, to top it off, they are rather demanding about requesting the volunteers to do another shift. Hubby went to Canberra with his mate on Wednesday on local government business, and the fire brigade office ra

Sorry - lost my page. What I was saying is they were chasing him on Wednesday, and almost demanded that he work a night shift after his day in Canberra. My attitude was
“ they’ve got to be joking”.  The trip is exhausting enough without extending it to an all night fire-fighting shift. So much for volunteering!

Id like to add thanks to all of my friends on here for their moral support. I’d be lost without it.

Good morning all  :) G'day Pat  :) I hope the fire situation is improving and gets sorted very soon ((hugs))
Also hope we hear that Pdoc is feeling better and that Hosta's cold is less yucky today.

    Morning all.
I too hope Punkdoc is feeling better, that Pat's Hubby gets some respite and that all other poorly peeps are feeling better.
@Dovefromabove, no less yucky here I'm afraid.
I think I'll have a mass weeding / cut back in the Hosta tunnel. My babies are starting to wake.

Sorry to hear you're still snotty, Hosta. A hosta session should help you to feel better :). Hope punkdoc feels better too.

I hope a couple of days of respite from the stress helps you, Pat. I'm sure the not knowing what's going on is the worst bit.

I keep hearing that 'the weather's going to get worse', 'we might have snow over Easter' etc but the forecasts don't seem to bear that out at all. We do seem to be due rather a lot of rain, which doesn't please me, but being a bit warmer would be good.

Thought I was going to an audition with Bow today, but then we both realised it was just a matter of habit - she knows the way, she's perfectly capable of getting herself there, she doesn't need parental accompaniment. I've just always gone with her because she was littler! So she's gone off and I'm going to use the opportunity to do a bit of lawn care.

Better change out of these clothes and put on something more suitable.  Have a good day all.

    Morning all.

Grey and cold outside. I have back ache. Today is a free day, at last, when I could do some gardening, but I don't feel like it. Must make an effort though as next week's forecast is yet more rain.

    Evening all.
Several cubic metres of woodchip moved and raked level . I almost forgot about the stinkin' cold , apart from the soppin' wet hankie.
Oh, where's the wee " I'm about to puke" emoji gone?
    Morning all...just.
@Hostafan1 when josusa(?) comes back I'm going to order sniffie cuffies:D  <3  She's gone off for Lent so will be back soon and once she comes up with a sensible price I'll be having some! Snotty gloves are soooo last week!
I bought a new (to me) car yesterday and take delivery on Monday. It's got a telly and all sorts of marvelous stuff I don't need. I wish the tooting man emoji would come back.
    Enjoy your Friday.

Good afternoon not sure if it was the site or me but I could not log on earlier. Waiting in for a delivery so been in the greenhouse pricking on veg seedlings. Dove I might have to blink first & sow some toms as they will still be in the propagator even if the weather does turn again at Easter. London forecast shows dusting due at 6am on 30th but then +9 later in day so hopefully they are right.
