A few of very hot chillies I usually freeze them but no room in the freezer, got a lot of home grown red, white, black and pink currants. Gooseberries, rhubarb, raspberries, Loganberries, blueberries and apples in there. So going to put the chillies in vinegar.
I don't like cooked toms, which is bad really as I grow so many.😆 Good job OH does, so soups and sauces are good for me. This has been a bumper year with over 400 toms from 11 plants( but three were black russian with only 8 large fruits between them, wont grow again) and am looking to try new varities next year, possibly a plum variety.
Interesting to note my Sungold were the first to crop & they are the ones that are still going now. I think most of us did pretty well with Tomatoes this year.
I have harvested a dozen or so extremely hot chilli peppers (Trinidad Scorpion), but frankly I dont know what to do with them now. They are too hot and impossible to use for cooking. I shared some with three different people and all said they were too hot.
What do you do with the very hot chillies, Logan? I really don’t want to just throw them away.
@Big Blue Sky I put them in fried onions with garlic. I've got Trinidad scorpion, ghost chilli and Carolina Reeper. I don't put a lot in, only need a quarter or less depends how hot you want it. with 3 large red onions and 3 or 4 cloves of garlic, that's enough for 4 people. Put it on what ever you like. I put it on the main dinner.
