That Mandola information was very interesting Dacha, so thanks. I have a friend in Melbourne who is a mandolinist in a Melbourne Orchestra, so am familiar with that sound.
Morning all. Cute little guy, Dacha. He's not as red as our red squirrels and has a whiter tummy. Ours are very shy and don't go near the bird food.
My mobile phone has packed up, will have to buy another this morning, or a battery. Going shopping anyway. Need a new battery for the horses electric fence too.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

BL my mum brought us up to listen to everything at least once. If you like it listen again and if you don't, don't! She always had classical music on when she was doing her housework and one day I came home to find her doing some ironing to Black Sabbath- Master of Reality! From Rock to Rossini in our house!
Thankfully the beast seems to have stalled over Derbyshire (sorry to all there under a blanket of snow) because it's bright and crisp and clear here. I haven't been out because the temperature drop makes me cough and wheeze but it looks nice from indoors.
Glorious sunny morning , but both bird baths ,and the pond are frozen.
Rubbish night with not much sleep.
My dear late mother still had her radio tuned to Radio 1 when she died aged 72. I once suggested ( when she was 66 ) that I re-tuned it to radio 2. " Radio 2 is for old people " was her curt reply.
She was particularly fond of Joan Armatrading and Bob Marley. ( 2 people I've met )
HF at my niece's 21st (my mum was 76) niece's friend apologised for the music being a little on the heavy side. My mum patted her on the hand and said "where do you think she got her taste in music?"
Woke up to a magical and silent world. This night we have had heavy snowfall, about 40 centimeters have fallen in my garden. Tried to showel some snow, but it was heavy, so i'm taking a break right now.
