Morning all. I didn’t check in earlier because I thought you would all be asleep. image

Still no rain here. The Cockatoos have been lying. I counted 18 of them coming in for a landing amongst out Pinus pinea trees this afternoon. I should take some bags up there and collect all the fallen and half eaten pine cones and stash them away for our winter fine heater.

I keep telling you Pat, you can have ours. We have yet more falling now.

Hosta, the only rain we’ve had this month was 5mm on 11 th. Those darned lying Cockatoos have been giving me false hope.

Wouldnt it be good to be able to just push a button and magically distribute some of your lovely rain just when we need to swap.

Just glimpsing the news headlines - I think Mexico had an earthquake as well. Need to see more than the headline.

4.4 magnitude for Wales. Rather frightening for those of you who felt it.

Did anyone else see that one of Trumps first brilliant moves last year was to repeal Obamas legislation making it compulsory to list  people with mental health conditions which should bar them from keeping guns? image

Tee hee. Yes. We’ve almost given up on the news. I don’t know why they think Australia needs to know a Trumps rubbish.

We felt the earthquake , rattled  the conservatory,  Roland said instantly that it was an earthquake,  I think Hosta must have been busy at work, if he had been home he would have felt it.

  • Right, that's the fruit winter pruning finished ... OH came out and did some weeding under the gooseberries too ... he's a saint!  He wore his sunglasses so he didn't get stabbed in the eyes.  image

It's lovely out there but still  chilly and soggy underfoot ... but buds are swelling image
