Went to Huddersfield today to get my trigger finger checked out, following the second injection in it, before Christmas. It's very much better - not perfect, but I've been signed off for the time being. I couldn't promise not to do any more strenuous gardening, so I'm told it will probably get worse again... but fingers crossed...
Strenuous gardening. If it's above freezing I'll be helping dig out lumps of rock in the park, before planting some shrubs. It makes me happy...
Our dentist in Northumberland used to be his own hygienist, before deciding his time would be better used if he employed someone to do the "manual" work. I didn't appreciate her extreme heavy-handedness: "Your gums bleed easily, don't they?" ...no, actually, they almost never bleed, but it's hard to tell you that with my mouth propped open... She had gone by the time of my next appointment.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Evening all. Not been around for a while, have been very busy with the family and had a nasty dose of Aussie flu. Pat, you can keep that one 'down under' it was awful.
Have been doing a bit of gardening over the last few days, tidying up the perennials and clearing up the rose leaves etc. Have also been spending too much money ordering plants. Lots of bulbs showing and snowdrops and hellebores looking good. All I need now is for it to warm up a bit.

Well, I wasn't expecting that.
My GP has just called to discuss my " abdominal episodes". I'm being referred to the gastroenterology department. Progress at last we hope.
Hosta .......... thank goodness for that
Fingers crossed that they find whatever it is and sort it out pronto ...
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
well " pronto " is asking a bit much . It might be 2 months before I see them.
Referral is good news Hosta. Hope they get to the cause of the problem.
I think we're looking at the option/s of endoscopy , and / or colonoscopy. What fun times lie ahead.
Been there, done that ... the second one at least ........... ahhh, the delights of Picolax
