Lilly P ... Wonky has just started taking the turmeric ... my fingers are crossed ... don't think she should cross hers
Well, I've just made a Clementine Cake (a la Nigella), a potato salad and some Scotch eggs for our supper ... I hardly ever do any deep frying ... isn't it typical that the cooker hood extractor fan packs up when I'm doing it for the first time in a couple of years ?
OH has just set off to cycle into the city ...... the blue skies and sunshine have disappeared and it's raining ... there's undoubtedly a connection .....
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I always think Feb is a good month to go somewhere. January can be spent clearing up after Xmas and NY and planning and by March you can usually get some stuff done in the garden and spring is under way but Feb can seem to me to be a long, cold, dark month. Well, it always was in the UK and Belgium so we'd go skiing or something but we're fine here as the light is better all year.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

I hope you have a lovely time when it comes Lily P.
Obelixx's Paris trip sounds fun, but hard work!
I did happen upon a thread which suddenly started to disappear as I was reading it and I wondered if Punkdoc might be in trouble! I also wonder if the other poster was banned.
My tummy is still fragile.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
It was fun Busy but I think I can happily live the rest of my life without going to Paris again. Too sprawly and soul-less for me. Even in January it's crowded and I found it dirty - litter, chewing gum splatted all over the pavements, ditto dog poo, vomit especially on Sunday after a heavy Saturday night for some, piles of fag ends........ On the other hand, apart from one drunken brawl in the tube on Sunday morning and one stupid waiter who ended up losing our custom, everyone was polite and friendly including the Parisians.
I hope your tum clears up soon. How was the patchwork or didn't you go?

Great to hear from you, Wonky! Hope you and OH have a lovely birthday weekend. And that your hands improve with the curcumin.
Nigella's clementine cake, Dove... ...wonder if you might have the odd slice needing to be eaten up later??
Found some more tax stuff to clear up (OH is hopelessly impractical - and so full of antibiotics he can't think straight at the moment, so I'm doing it for him...). More emails to faceless bureaucrats...
LilyP, looking forward to your holiday is definitely one of the best bits.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
I've just met our new neighbour who moved in while we were away.
I spoke to his wife before they moved and said I'd be happy to have their horse manure (3 horses ). Hubby has just come round to say they've bought a trailer so can they bring it round and dump it where we'd like it to go??

LP...we have beautiful sunshine but no warmth. Enjoy your holiday
Forecast at lunchtime was mentioning possibility of more snow from Tuesday.
Wonky....hope you get a hospital apt soon.
Good to see you Pdoc

Hello Punk, I can read your post
Joyce yes it’s lovely here too but bitter. We had some more snow this morning. I hardly even notice now!
We don’t go off for a few weeks yet but at least I can say it’s “this month”

It's an experiment which took my fancy LP and I've just found it needs 5 red peppers and some sugar with pectin so it'll have to wait till tomorrow now - https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/blood-orange-chilli-marmalade

Wow ....Pdoc ....how can you be banned from a polite garden forum .....can you give me some ideas
tsk, am I the only person who has no idea why the lovely punkdoc was " banned" ?
Can someone spill the beans?
Well, we think the polytunnel damage has been repaired although , until we get a gale, we won't know.
