    Sweet dreams Pat.  Hi GW.

Dove - nowhere near warm enough here for sitting outside tho we did hit 10C briefly yesterday.  -2C again this morning tho.   The birds are getting excited tho - two buzzards wheeling over our paddock this am, someone is making a new nest in the lone poplar and far more sparrows and chaffinches than usual scoffing the sunflower seeds.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

    Dovefromabove says:

Just had this from friend in Provence

"... We have just had lunch in the veranda with the windows open, the cat asleep on a chair in the sun and the bees and humming bird hawk moths buzzing round the pansies and hyacinths- however there is snow forecast for Wednesday! So no clout casting just yet!..."

    Hummingbird hawk moths !!!

Crikey! Nothing like that in SW France. 1° now, -6° this morning, snow patches still lying but it is melting in the sun.
Just made a lemon meringue pie and a loaf of bread. Next is chocolate mousse. I'm taking puds to daughter tomorrow. May try Obelixx's carrot cake. Could I use a grated apple as well and leave out a couple of bananas?
Have hoovered upstairs and cleaned the family room which had been full of my sewing on the table. Brought in lots of logs to keep the woodburner in there going for the next few days. We'll eat in there with Cedric's family. Dining room is freezing, rads are off.

Why does it always keep quoting? I've never managed it.

    Hi folks,

Busy, it's a bit of a trek from the car parks at Hampton Court but they do provide courtesy buses, or at least they did a couple of years ago.

Might try turmeric myself, will do a bit of investigating online.

Nothing planned for today, it's really cold out although it has dried up now, was very wet this morning.

Does anyone use a grow light?  I've got quite a few seeds on the go and most have germinated. Thought I'd try a grow light to stop them getting leggy over the next few weeks.  Wanted to get an early start with them this year.  Last year they were a bit small when they went out took a while to get going.
