It’s been go, go, go here this afternoon. There was a call out for Hubby to take the fire truck to a motor vehicle accident just up the road. This is required because of the potential of Petrol spillage and Fire . It turned out to be our tip lady. She was trapped and the ambulance guys had to dose her up and get her out - no mean feat with her weight . Hubby thinks she has a broken leg.

Everyone has been telling her for weeks that she shouldn’t drive with a painful, bleeding detached retina, but what can you do. She still drives (at speed) along our roads.

Hubby said that she’s lucky that the tree stopped her. If she had ended up in that dam, which the locals christened “Lake Eyre” when it was made several years ago, she could have drowned. image

One the bright side, we have light sprinkles of rain and a prediction of rain. Yippee!.

Hi Dove. Yes she really was lucky. Im envious of your rain.ours is so light it isn’t reaching the ground, you can just feel it on your arms.

    dinner is almost ready.

Hi Lilyp. Yes, she’s one of the most stupid women I know.nothing will change. She’ll be back behind the wheel as soon as she is able. image

  • Given that the emergency services were called out, will the police not investigate and tell her not to drive until her vision is ok?

Probably Dove, but she’s had so many speeding fines that she’s probably on first names terms with the police. Hubby said they were planning to helicopter her to Canberra hospital instead of taking her to the local hospital.

Hosta, I think you need to go somewhere to cheer yourself up.
