You have to be careful with lavender when making ice creams and such as too much can make it seem soapy.  Had some pâte with lavender once and it was horrible but also had some lovely ice cream.  Delicious when done well.

Busy,  I bought this stuff - https://www.amazon.fr/Curcuma-Curcumine-2500mg-Bioperine%C2%AE-Curcumino%C3%AFdes/dp/B06XCL7S4V and it ahs worked wonders on my recently arthritic toes and my hands are a lot less stiff tho still a bit "knuckley".

No doubt OH will be glued to the 6N.  He went to watch Wasps play La Rochelle a few weeks ago and enjoyed that but, after years of going to Twickenham for the big games, he now prefers the sofa for the big matches.  I last went in the days of Tony Neary who used to coach our college rugby team and for whom i was the only regular supporter - shared a house with 3 of the players.   Long, long time ago....

Thank you for the link Obelixx, but it's no longer available and the reviews are very mixed. But glad it works for you.

Thanks Dove. I'll do it with English Amazon on OH's account and get it sent to our Norfolk collection point. OH is having his cataract op on the 21st so we'll be there again soon.

  • Afternoon everyone.

It's a cold wet day here so no gardening for me - though I'll have to do some shopping soon, while OH watches the rugby.  It's a closed book as far as I'm concerned.  Give me cricket any day!

Lavender biscuits are nice, Pat.  And lavender chocolate...  image

I don't mind watching a bit of rugby , although it's not the same since Freddie Michalak stopped playing for France.

OH has been watching the rugby while I tidy up my sewing pit after the marathon last month.   The rain stopping coinciding with the end of the match so he's walking the dogs while I look for a recipe for Spanish style hake.   So far they all contain chorizo which I find swamps all other flavours so I may have to wing it.

Normally, when I get back from a trip away, the first thing I want is fish n chips. This time, I can't face another piece of cod, no matter how it's cooked.

Hubby is watching Rugby. Are Scotland fielding the youth/third  team by mistake?

I have still got a cough. I'm trying to stay in, but I had to go to the Supermarket for a few essentials. 3C out there. It feels positively balmy.  I think the minus 20 reset my thermostat.

I hope the Turmeric works, Wonky.  My knees are worse when it's due to rain. I'm told its a fallacy. Hah.

Not a fallacy Fidget.  One of the reasons for moving here was to escape 6 month long cold, grey, wet, wet, wet Belgian winters.   Old arthritic bits a lot less creaky and new ones sorted by the turmeric.

Hope your cough clears up soon.  I thought Scotland were supposed to be a strong tea this year......
