Obelixx, I'm doing on-line Spanish (Duolingo). It has its limitations but is better than nothing for a bit of a grounding in the language... and it's free.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Windows open when it's -2C!!! just a sheet at 10C!!!!!
My body really doesn't function well below 20C. Even in summer we still have the winter duvet on the bed and windows are always closed at night ( and pretty much during the day except in exceptional weather.)
I suppose it helps that Hubby likes the heat / hates the cold as much as I do.
Logs cut and stacked.
Torrential rain forecast tomorrow, so I might have a wee potter in the "hot" tunnel.
Oh, Punkdoc. Sorry to hear that. Not a very pleasant experience.
i must admit that I had a nightmare two nights ago in which I had developed dementia, but was aware most of the time. I spent the rest of the night trying to work out how I could counteract the effects.
I’ve been busy today cleaning lavender stems and bunching them for drying. My back is aching from bending over the table. Think I’ll take tomorrow off and start again on Tuesday.
We're watching the ginger cat who lives across the way. He's on the porch roof at a house two doors along, reaching up and pawing at an upstairs window ... he does this most mornings, then walks over the garage roof to the back of the house. He doesnt live there but we have seen him leaving via the front door

Pdoc thats what gardens are for! Solace when stuffs over whelming! I often used o have panic attacks, still do sometimes but I try to do breathing exercises to prevent them when I notice them sneaking up on me x
Joyce, you just reminded me that we haven't used our electric blanket this year! Or the winter duvet for that matter!
BusyL, there is tummy bug going round Suffolk, hope you didn't pick it up in Norfolk! Hope you feel better soon! My garden boarder is also full of dead plant foliage but the new stuff is growing through and I've just been watching a wren on my black and bloom salvia from the kitchen window
Hosta, don't think I could cope with your climate!!! But could I send my hubby to move into yours please? With Antiguan roots his idea of normal temperature is a far off Suffolk standards!
Pat I can almost smell that lavender! How gorgeous!
Hello Liri! thanks for the well wishes! My hands are approving of the rest!
Dove, its now been a week of taking the turmeric tablets,my hands are less painful at nights and am getting sleep now thankfully! Still swollen joints and a lot of pain in the mornings but its only been a week. Of course it's also a week that I've been off work,I think both elements are having an effect.
Lilyp I think I'd love a bouncy cuddly dog visiting me!
Gloomy day here but so far I've seen blue and great tits, robin, wren, blackbird, starlings, collar doves, chaffinch, greenfinch, dunnock and goldfinches, not bad for a town centre garden!
Not sure what today holds for us but another coffee is first on the agenda! Hope everyone has a lovely day!

Can't sleep.
Had a panic attack, ended up sitting in the garden, not sure it helped, but I am very cold.

I've been awake since around 5.30. grr
Punkdoc, you love your garden, so I'd say it's a perfectly sensible place to seek a bit of sanctuary.
Warmest wishes to you both. I empathise with poor sleep patterns and bad nights.

Ukelele on Monday. Need to practice my chords.
Good morning all
Pdoc ((big hugs)) hope things are easier now.
