Pete 10-12 cups of tea a day, can you sleep with all that caffine! I used PG tips, used to put them in the compost, never seen any plastic. We take the dogs on the beach in the winter, would rather have wet sand indoors thant hick mud! Plastic bottles of course, but after a storm/heavy wind, rubber gloves, huge ammounts of nylon fishing nets lines, lobster pots, bits of cars, goodness only knows what else, asume they have come from ships, dont know if that is accidental or deliberate dumping. Now, suddenly, after all these years, we are worried about plastic! Keep reading we have to stop using it, but what do you do instead of plastic sacks for non-recylcable waste you cant put it in the wheelie bin without a bag, and the "dog" waste. I tried a bio-degradable garden toilet when I had 3 dogs it was absolutely useless.I have never used those little plastic bags, in supermarkets when buying one apple, or pepper, which is why I get so angrry about people letting their kids sit/stand in trollies, revolting, when my food is in there! Articles in the paper, according to a university in USA, there are 400.00 pathogens on the average shoe sole. Most of which want to do you some harm.
Did anyone else see the report on plastic frozen in the sea ice off Norway. As one of the scientist said there is now nowhere so remote that it is not affected by pollution.
Thank you for the link and he was truly a great unsung hero
I went to London when they unveiled the New GP boat about 6 years ago and subsequently had my name added to the virtual wall on the boat so I was "with them "as they sailed about
Sci Fi stories have been written since the 1940,s foretelling this total abuse of our planet just for profit.
I dont believe in A God but if SHE does exists I hope she comes and sorts it out soon as we cant.
Everyone is just trying to be Happy.....So lets help Them.
I should think all shops would sell leaf tea, had some in Lidl this morning.
As NB says, drop in the ocean, but we can but try.
IF there is a God, he/she has given us choices and has given us custody-dominion over the earth, it can only be us that sorts it out. There is nothing we can really do. A tea bag isn’t much compared to everything else, but it’s a start.
I think computers should be banned, those poor little children collecting that dreadful stuff needed to make them and dying still in their teenage years, but it’s not going to happen. Things are out of control it’s called progress?
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
