@Buttercupdays, this is me lifting up a Pyrex bowl using the silicone cover I was given for Christmas. It makes a good seal provided the bowl rim is smooth.

Anyone else see Monty on G last night he was talking about trying to reduce the amount of plastic he uses in the garden. I agree with his point that having heavy duty plastic that you can re-use endlessly is good if you cant't avoid it altogether.
Yes, Allotment Boy - it's pleasing that Monty mentioned the over-use of plastic, but also good that he wasn't rushing to throw it all away. Re-using what we've already got, must be the best idea - and using heavy duty stuff, as you say, when new things need to be bought.

I buy Fair trade tea from Traidcraft, the packet says the teabags are biodegradable. Even so, they break down better in the compost bin if I tear them open.
