    Tulips are about ready to open

    a crown imperial I can’t remrber planting has popped up in a bed of dafs

    Goodness ... no sign of my Crown Imperials yet ... love them, especially the rusty orange ones  :D

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    Lovely, I love the orange imperials. Some of mine are at same stage as yours, the ones in the front garden, all of 50ft aways are only about 6 inches above ground. Havent got a tulip anywhere near flowering yet though

    Hi @Jason-3, wow!! that’s a beautiful Camelia!  How old and how tall is your Camelia? I planted one last week and from seeing the size of yours I’m wondering whether I’ve planted it in the wrong place.

    I must admit its one plant I have spent quite a bit of money on...I purchased it in a 50 litre pot 4 years ago but seems to like the slightly acidic clay soil and north west postion. It realy has romped away and is a good 12 feet in height now. I will give a light trim later in the year...with an ericaceous mulch.

    I never knew camelias grew that big!  Beautiful
