bed of wallflowers planted early last summer.....flowering now. ....I thought they'd flower in the Autumn.

Lovely wallflowers Mary. They're supposed to flower now.

My wallflowers are currently with good growth/foliage but not yet in flower.  I seeded them directly into the gravel around the base of my outer walls (there for damp proofing purposes) from having seen them originally bloom in that area and using their seeds! Now that area has grown quite thick with them.  Perhaps I will take a photo once they are in bloom.
A 'weed' is just a plant in the wrong place - subjective! ;)

You can get a variety that will flower in autumn, but you haven't got those. It will say on the packet.

@Logan4 oh I never knew that. .....must read seed packet more thoroughly.   I just presumed if they were planted in spring they would flower in the Autumn. ....not the following spring as these did.  Lovely unexpected colour this early in the garden.

I hope Nora manages to sort something out for those of us with poor Internet. I still can't see many of the photos.

Now I'll see if I can post any, they are all under 2MB. Signs of spring at last, but rain is forecast yet again for most of next week.

I can see mine! But one is missed out. Can't see Logans, just little crosses.

I need to practice leaving a gap between them.
