Astounding JamesO. Love all the plants of course but also the gravel paths, might copy that idea.love how you fill the borders, so lush and neat. Is that an hibiscus with the bee? I don't know the two above it. A total dream of a garden.
Thanks MrsGarden the bee is on a pelargonium, the two above are a white buddleia dwarf type and the other is a close up of a Hydrangea sorry cannot remember the name I'm bad for that
James, how do you keep your lawn so green? Do you go out in the middle of the night and paint it? Mine is little more than a field of hay and the photos that follow are mostly positioned to avoid seeing it
Thanks Picidae unsure weather its because im up in Manchester or what but it has been dry here as well just had a few showers over the past couple of days go over. I do start early at the end of Feb rake all the moss out and start air rating do that till May time but finish the raking in March just a few mins spent on it in that time window. I also use Richard Jackson lawn feed from Feb as well as you can use that when temps above 5oc. Also add seaweed start of April and then use Miracle grow lawn feed from April onwards I space the feeding out every 3-4 weeks. In dry periods in Summer do Water with watering can as its small lawn I do like to keep in green as said before I do keep an eye all time on the weather forecast and adjust just watering periods accordingly but keep feeding to the 3-4week stints.
It clearly works, James. The lawn sets off your flowers beautifully. With about a third of an acre of lawn I leave mine to a combination of Green Thumb and the elements. Here in Rutland I don’t think we’ve had a drop of rain for over 8 weeks.
