I call this photo 'visiting roses'...  I have 'trained' rambling roses that have come over, from next door's garden - they feature partially covering the rainbow there.  On the left, there's a hydrangea bush (in bud) and a Japanese acer tree. The purple flowers are rhododendrons - behind the lawn meadow.

A 'weed' is just a plant in the wrong place - subjective! ;)

Caught in my own trap :/

    OK, here we go:
Foreground: Heuchera 'Black Beauty'. Background: Geranium psilostemon

    I second that papijo.
It's really frustrating reading the comments without seeing the pictures
    In London. Keen but lazy.

Here are some shots of my garden as it looks now, 2 years on from the below picture.

The greenhouse is in Tomato production and the plants are coming on leaps and bounds.

The raised beds have filled out nicely, though the Honeysuckle will be coming out next year and some climbing roses going in instead.

Both Ceanothus are looking rather good and are attracting sooooo many bees and the  constant buzzing that can be heard is a sheer joy B)

The 2 Jasmine on the other side of the garden are also looking good, with lots of new growth and loads of flower buds.

New potatoes making an entrance left  ;)

The Geums 'Mrs Bradshaw' are in full flower and the newly planted Salvia 'Caradonna' will hopefully fill out in the coming years and the Bees will love those too.

And finally the Erysimum 'Bowles's Mauve' is another favourite of the Bees and is covered with them for most of the day.

    Sheps... :)

Congrats, Sheps! So much work! Your photos always look neat. Fabulous greenhouse, as always. Your Mrs B looks so happy. (Mine is tiny). Such great bee photos. You inspire me to look up how to use my camera well a Canon bridge. It didn't come with a manual and I have never looked online how to do wonderful things with focus. I hope you are dead chuffed with how it has all turned out.

Thank you very much, Fire...I must admit the garden looks a whole lot better than when it was just grass and if I'm honest I'm quite pleased with how it is turning out, though I am a little restricted as everything has to be in pots and the raised beds.

As for your camera, Bridge cameras are very, very good these days and capable of producing very good images, try looking online for a downloadable manual, I'm sure there will be one.

I'm sure you're right - I can easily find the manual. I just love the image of your bee in the ceanothus (?) - the plants looks so happy too, such a vibrant blue. It's so good to see the waves of flowering across the country. We had our plum blossom and daffs in February and it was great to watching flowering until May in places. Wisteria has gone over near me and not started in other places. It makes the various bloom seasons seem so much longer.

Are there any useful and friendly camera forums you recommend, do you know?
