    @Sussexsun that's a beautiful magnolia you have
    Re tulips......should they considered to be an annual bulb. ....only lasting one season?

    I've never been able to get tulips to look good for a second year.

    I bought a big bag of Jetfire daffodils in autumn and these are what popped up! Definitely not Jetfire but a nice surprise and they have a nice scent.

    I treat tulips as annuals. Once they have died back in the pots I empty them out on to the garden and some do come back the next year but never seem to be a good. Either not growing as tall or coming up blind. Any that do come up I just look at as a bonus to my pot grown ones.
    I don’t buy expensive named tulips and am quite happy with the Lidl two bags for £3 ones or wilkos net bag for a couple of pound. Same with dafs, I just buy a big back in the supermarket so. I have no idea of what variety they are. To me they are all just dafs and tulips to supply so early colour after the grey winter.

      My magnolia is still in tight bud, the forgetmenots have about one flower open on each, and half of the  the daffs are still in straight bud stage.  I'm hoping the weather will warm up and they will all explode into colour at once. It is raining here again. 🌧🌷🌷

     Hi Pat. 🙃
