  • New trellis with struggling clematis , (jingle bells and Dorothy Walton). Crying out for planting suggestions in front, wanting a grass maybe.

    2nf picture - raggy poppy border, when they are gone they are gone, until summer perennials take over the show.

    Beautiful close up pictures @AlanClarke2, you must have a very good camera to get pictures so clear and vibrant. 

    Your Garden and GH have really come on @Sheps , I remember the blank space where the GH was going  :)

    Where do want a planting suggestion @karenmsmith2468 it looks good to me, may have to wait for the clematis to get it roots down if it newly planted.

    Recently been planting up this border, I put the lupin in a few weeks ago, you can just see Ligularia Brit marie crawford leaf ( far bottom right )  I planted the other day and astrantia snow star at the front with salvia caradonna behind. I am after some agapanthus to go where the maroon aquilegia is.

    Although I do have a good camera, the photos have been tweaked in the computer (using Luminar software). This allows me to crop images, sharpen them, adjust the brightness and saturation, and make other improvements. For example here is one as it came out of the camera and after modification:
