Bit of drama at Schipol last night. we checked in on Saturday and got reception to print out boarding cards. Some people hadn't paid extra for t'interweb as it was so chuffing expensive, so didn't check in until we got to Bergen. At that point the Amsterdam to Birmingham flight was overbooked, so at the gate in Schipol, they were asking for volunteers to give up their seats and spend the night in a hotel. It seemed that most of the people being bounced had got off of our boat. Anyhow, late departure, but we're home now. The polytunnel has blown away twice but my brother fixed it, along with the back door lock that has been playing up. So what will we see when the sun comes up? Neighbours cat turned up late last night, very pleased to see me, even though he has had extra rations from the housesitter. He has just got up for his first breakfast. I am going to have a long soak in the bath.
Good morning, up and going early here as sweep due at 8
Fidget, you will enjoy your soak, hope you enjoyed your trip, we did! The over booking seems to be more common these days. We have seen it so often particularly in the USA
Dove glad you had a lovely birthday
Liro glad you Got cuddles, they grow so fast. Our youngest gc is 14mths and wouldn’t thank you for a cuddle, too much to explore in the world
Clari. good to see you, remember all work and no play makes Jack. Exhausted!

It's the other way around here ... must do some work today ... the study is full of my late Aged Ps' paperwork ... now no longer needed ... many years of their carefully filed bank statements and other such stuff ... I have told my brother that if I bag it all up and take it to him the least he can do is find a way of disposing of it ... he must have a big office shredder in the company offices, or I'm sure that on a large farm there must be an occasional bonfire, even if it's only of hedging brash ... otherwise I will put it all straight into the recycling bin ... I'm not prepared to purchase an 'industrial sized shredder' to shred it and it'll take for ever to shred it on our home one.
Just a mug of coffee to finish and then the clear out starts ... we need some storage space for our own stuff

I'm so sorry you need to find a new job. I know how much you loved it in the garden. All my best wishes to you find something where you can shine once more.
I missed the news of you friend, I'm so sorry. I'm afraid as we reach 27, this happens more often.
I meant to post these pics the other day before the internet gave up. Some of the seeds I brought with me . No packet less than about 3 years old. So much for "use by" dates eh?

Morning Clari.
Jessie has been collected and taken home. Feels a bit strange without her.

Morning all.
Glad you enjoyed your birthday, Dove.
Sounds rather a stressful journey, Fidget. Glad you are safely home.
We had a lovely weekend at daughter 1. The 11 grandchildren were there, 2 Grandbabies to cuddle.
Hi all.
Bit of the winter blues here, so not been chatting much.
Glad you had a good birthday Dove.
Lovely to see you WW, hope something good turns up soon, you deserve it.

Morning all. Glad you got home safe, Fidget, after the dramas!
Good to see you, PD. Soon be Spring... there's a song thrush telling the world it's true, from the top of a big beech tree near here.
Hello Hazel and Clari, too.
Eleven grandchildren, BL! That must be expensive at Christmas... but lovely to spend time with them all.
Good luck with the clear-out, Dove!

Hello Pdoc and everyone else who's arrived
Winter blues not allowed Pdoc ... any sign of them and I'll have you sorting out Ma and Pa's pensions paperwork
