Wonderful photos Fidget and I love the stories of what the holiday is like. While I don’t like the hot weather, I don’t think I’d cope with cold like that!  Probably end up without a nose.

Busyl, best wishes for the journey home and checking the horses. They’ll be glad to see you again.

Dove, well done with getting back to the tennis. I really need more exercise, but can’t bear walking in the high 30 s heat every day. The weather channel proudly announced yesterday that we were on day 10 of the heat wave.image  Hubby said we had rain overnight, but a quick peak out the window I can’t see wet cement anywhere. Probably evaporated before it reached the ground.

Our daughter and grandson are coming down today to bring their little poodle, Jessie, for a brief holiday with us. She is staying with us while they go down to the coast for the Australia Day long weekend. Interesting times ahead. We’ll have to watch her outside with our colony of Skinks. She’s pretty good at doing what she’s told. It’ll be like old times having a little cuddly poodle all over me again.

Obelixx, your dressmaking skills amaze me. The last clothes I made, some years ago, were all from KnitWit patterns. Very basic and easy.

    Hi to everyone else.

Dunno about skills Pat.  I just follow pattern instructions and things turn out OK.  Much easier than altering shop bought stuff.   This jacket tho has "couture" instructions which I've never done before so a lot more processing.   It'll be an interesting experiment.

Enjoy your cuddles and stay cool.  Exercise can wait a bit.

Dacha.. Stugeron is a tablet for seasickness.  We have eaten a lot of fish this week , but Sturgeon not amongst them.

I have just peered outside the window while we are in port. There seems to have been some snow overnight. They just carry on as usual. The tyres have spikes, and we are warned to put spikes on before we venture off of the boat.  No snow days off here.  Some of the larger towns have underfloor heating for the main roads. Really. We can't even fix the potholes in ours. image

Pale blue skies, white fluffy clouds and we're sitting in bed drinking our coffee and watching a pair of blue tits going in and out of a nest box ... spring is on its way image
