Drismal here and still windy.  I have been reading in bed with play and cuddles for Cosmos who has managed to injure his other front paw.  Little spots of blood all over the bathroom floor so back o twice daily cleaning and bathing.  Might have to make more socks if we haven't caught it in time.  Such a clumsy, accident prone pussy.

Meanwhile Minstrel came in wet looking for cuddles and food.  She reall does not approve of rain stopping play.

We're off to a show this pm - Argentine tango - then back in time for proper roast belly pork with crackling!

LG - Hope you do get out and see the rest.  Looks good on TV.

Fidget - had no idea you were off adventuring.  Enjoy.

Pat - I hope you and yours are well away form any fires.  Horrendous things and all teh worse when started deliberately.

Stay safe and warm everyone who's cold.  Enjoy the scheming Hosta.

Watched Monty.  I do find his naivety about other garden styles very irritating and can't imagine why he's managed to spend so little time in Persia/Ira but it does look as tho this time we'll get the Taj Mahal with water, as intended, unlike his poorly research and mis-timed trip in 80 gardens.

Speaking of Montys 80 gardens, it irritated me that he went to Cranbourne, Victoria for the Aust Native Gardens when Canberra has the Australian Native collection.

No fires here yet, thank goodness. Fingers crossed.

i hope your Pork crackling is as good as you’d like it. It’s one of our favourites. By the by, if it doesn’t bubble up enough, finish the (skin only) between sheets of kitchen paper towel in the microwVe. Magic!

Im in bed and hing to nod off soon. I’m sick of the attrocious heat.

There are two jacuzzis on the back deck.. I haven't seen anyone in them yet, but I did bring a cozzy. Maybe when we get to Kirkenes. Should be chuffing cold up there. As for fizz, I should have picked some up duty free. Its a bit like a Methodist convention here. Alcohol is so expensive, there's a lot of water being drunk.£11 for a small glass of prosecco.  I've just added a fourth layer before we go sledding, and mittens to go over the fur lined gloves. For someone as nesh as I am, the Arctic is probably not the best place. Underwear, thermal long sleeve vest, fleece trousers, padded trousers, cashmere jumper, fleece jacket, down coat, fur lined hat plus hood on coat. two pairs of socks, hiking boots, Yak trax.  You can't say we are not prepared. We have a beautiful sunset. It started at 12. 30 pm. Should be dark by 3.

Off to see doggies now. Dinner is Chicken soup, Arctic Char, and yoghurt pudding with dandelion syrup.

I hope you enjoy it, Fidget and I hope you can move in so many layers!

I wore a lot of layers to church this morning, it was snowing on the walk home. It's not really settling though.

It is now near the end of January and I have been ticking off all the jobs I have to do between now and March which is the start of my gardening year. Mostly jobs that I have been putting off forever but which need doing. Fourteen jobs on the list, all indoors apart from two. Everything from cleaning out the hall cupboard which is bursting at the seams to cleaning out the garage etc etc. Have been picking the easier ones first............Hey ho!

Very excited about my new kitchen roll holder!! I screwed it to the underside of my kitchen cabinet and it has a ratchet type centre which means you can pull off one sheet at a time with one hand! How clever is that? Amazing what you can find on Amazon!

Love char too.   It was stranded in some of the Lakes after the Ice Age.    You sound very well wrapped up FB.   You too Busy but doesn't it interfere and make you hot walking home?

Thanks for that tip Pat.  I usually turn on the  grill if it needs a bit of encouragement but that can lead to it being a bit too "caramelised".
