Liri, twelve years is certainly a very short period. Good luck with this roofer.

I can only see the roof at the back of my house from my friend's round the corner as we are on raised ground above the river and only have a narrow bit of ground at the back.

What a foul day; wet, windy and cold.

Argument with Insurance Company about holiday refund, no nearer resolution.

Argument with neighbour about his dogs being in my orchard again.

2018 off to a great start, may need a drink.

Sorry to hear so many of you are suffering dreadful weather. As Joyce says we have been lucky and missed the worst of the storms. Terribly wet tho  I couldn’t get out to do the New Years Day flower count

Dove, hope OH ok,  one has gone down like a stone, no symptoms except a cough which makes his head ache and sleeping and sleeping and sleeping. Not sure if it is a strategy to allow me to do the clearing away!!?

Pat hope you ok and wrist not broken, drones certainly have their uses dint they? I hear the insurance companies are using them here to asses damage.

Liro I do hope the roofer comes tomorrow

Chicky it is awful but you will feel better knowing where chicklet has returned to. i Hated departures but you do get used to them

Thanks for all your kind thoughts ....I am very proud of my little adventurer, and it is better being able to picture where she is going to.  Feeling pretty yuck though, so going to go and pound up and down some lanes in the local swimming pool (NY resolution image) to take my mind off it.  Pat - thanks for your knd offer - will certainly ask if need any advice.  Your tips on hairdryers in hotels was spot-on and saved me a kg of precious luggage space image.

On a brighter note, my Dad is 80 today image  We are taking him for a weekend in Liverpool (his hometown) at the beginning of March as his present - he seems delighted image

Had meant to sew cushion covers today but we went out for lunch then did shopping for various things like groceries, bread and milk and a new food bucket for Dee Dee the old rescue horse.

Has tipped with rain most of the day. The local river has started to overflow and is looking very fast flowing and muddy.

Fat chance here.  It's blowing a hooly again and raining so very noisy.   I have only ventured out to feed the birds today but tomorrow we really do need a raid on the SM.  Might be interesting as there are power lines down on our route, just a few hundred metres away, and the road has been blocked.

I have finished OH's thingummy.   It has stupid pockets - pesky to do and turn out to be shallow so impractical for his golf tees.  Needs mods if I do it again but he likes it and it fits.   Cosmos helped.

Hope your river doesn't cause you problems Busy and your dad enjoys his birthday trip, Chicky.

We’re just back from 3.5 hours in Outpatients. X-ray couldn’t find any breaks, but wrist is very swollen and not happy to be moved. Ice packs treatment.
