Pat sounds sore, hope It improves quickly

Obelixx hooe you get the shopping dine, beware of any cables!!..

Dove, we just have the trees to take down today, then the clean up begins!

I am to FaceTime four year old who was visiting her great nanny yesterday, there was an accident and little one was covered in great nans blood. She is deeply traumatised.  Any one any ideas how to treat this?  The ambulance men talked to her but daughter said she was screaming during the night

Do we have any child psychologists here?

LilyP ... that's a tricky one ... I think simple honesty about what happened and that understandably it was a bit frightening because it was something she'd not experienced before, but explaining that doctors and nurses deal with blood every day.

Is Gt Nan ok?  If so explaining that the doctors/nursesthing/paramedics are making her better and everything will be fine ... it's a shame that it made a mess and she was frightened but it's all ok now .... that sort of  thing.

If the nightmares and frights continue then nursery/school/GP should have access to a make a referral to a child phsyc therapist for some help.

LP I am no expert, but has little one seen her great nanny since the accident. It might help her to see that she is going to be alright.
