    Morning all.

Slept badly, changed the 4 tog duvet for a 10.5 tog one. Thought it was because I was too hot, but now Dove has mentioned the moon it must be that. I always sleep badly in France when there is a full moon.

    See original post

Hmm.. now you've got me thinking. I had a very unsettled night; feeling absolutely shattered now and think today will be a right off.

I assumed it was because I had dared to eat after 21:00.

The hound and I have waved his lordship off, sorted the laundry, and climbed back in to bed with a strong mug of tea.

  • I'm still in bed too Clari. I have a second coffee and am waiting for the shower to be vacated ...

Foggy start today after a clear and very bright night.   Didn't sleep well either but that's cos I seem to have adjusted my collar bone into a painful place........   We have shutters that block out even a super moon.

Cosmos still has his paw pad.  Saw both vets who decided that it is healing OK despite the bursting abscess on Wednesday so he's now off the cortisone and start homeopathic gunpowder pills tomorrow in case there is a foreign body in there that we can't see.   Pharmacist very apologetic that gunpowder is not on the list of refundable meds, even for humans.  17€50 for the vets and 5€20 for the pills.  Not exactly a problem.

The little tart cuddled up and purred!   Home now and wolfing down some breakfast.

Now to get ready for the tile who is due in the next half hour and then sort out stuff for my patchwork class.  Felt Xmas baubles again today.   Great fun - don't usually like hand sewing so that's a surprise.

Off to see Liri's pics now.   Have a good start to the week everyone.

    Hi all.

Liri, your photos are incredible, what an amazing place. I love Scotland.

Great that you are getting a good service from the NHS.

I am going in for another dose today. For those of you who like medical terminology, I am having another TOE Transoesophageal echocardiogram.

Horrible large tube, shoved down the gullet, looks at how well the heart muscle is contracting.

Not fun Pdoc.   Had one of those tubes stuffed down my throat for an oesophagus and stomach inspection.   Seriously unpleasant.   Fortunately it was in Namur and I could go and get a proper, comforting Belgian chocolate tart and a capuccino afterwards.

I do hope it goes well for you and produces some helpful results.

Fab photos Liri.  Love the sequences and changing light as well as the views.

Oh Punk that sounds uncomfortable. I hope it's fast and effective.

Well I'm dressed and downstairs - can't promise much else!

It isn't light that stops me sleeping when there is a full moon. I have shutters in France and blackout curtains here. It's some strange moon power.

We need a wall cupboard or shelf for the cottage utility room, the worktop is getting cluttered. Going to Wickes as I think the kitchen came from there, but there may be somewhere better if we decide on a shelf. B&Q?

I hope the TOE is OK, Punkdoc, and all goes as smoothly as possible.

    Morning all.

No news about the baby. Our friend isn't at work to day and , understandably, nobody is saying anything.

Our last full day before heading home to the cold tomorrow.

This gave me a warm fuzzy feeling.

    Good luck to you punkdoc.

  • Hosta ... warm fuzzy image  enjoy your last day.

Pdoc ... good luck with that ... I don't mind things going up as long as they're careful what they're doing, but things going down image  Any chance of a restorative chocolate tart afterwards? image

Glad Cosmos seems to  be on the mend again.

We're off into the city on the bus this morning ... last bits of present buying (Christmas and 3 birthday presents ... OH on 19th, son on 22nd and a friend on Christmas Day itself. Then lunch and if my knee's behaving we'll go to the either the Rembrandt' exhibition at the castle or the Jerwood Drawing Prize ... I think both would be pushing my luck.   After that OH can pick up his repaired bike and I'll come home on the bus.
