The chappy in the tyre shop once asked for my registration number and then looked to my husband for the reply. He stepped back laughing and mumbled "oh dear"... Nuff said!
Great to hear of your adventures chicky. It sounds like you're squeezing it all in!!!

What a busy lot you've been since I last looked in.
Too much to mention, but Clari, well done you. I'm reminded of a female friend of mine who had to drive a guy's Jag for him. "Have you ever driven a car like this before? It's rather powerful" She replied, " Well, I've driven my father's Aston Martin DB5 round the road racing circuit at Goodwood. Does that count? "
All folks on holidays/ days out: have a great time.,Pat enjoy messing about in the new car, you'll get the hang of it in no time.Dove, why not pop in and raise a glass to Carluccio?
Glorious sunny day here but our first frost forecast tonight, so I'm aiming to get dahlias and cannas lifted into polytunnel today.
Hello everyone else - hope you're enjoying your various trips and holidays.
Punkdoc family - sending best wishes, peace and strength.
I'm going to have a second attempt at making bread. First one went OK (granary) so am now going to move up to white bread. Only hoping for 'edible' at this stage ....

Obelixx, yes, "did" the RHS gardens, and "members days" for Chelsea and Hampton Court, but didnt feel the cost justified what we were getting, I do make good use of the National Trust membership though. Oh, damned dog has just come with fox poo all round her neck!!!

Rgirl ... best tip re bread making ... don't stint on the liquid ... it'll make the dough sticky but that'll be cured when you've kneaded it enough.
It's the opposite of pastry which needs only 'just enough' liquid. Good luck and enjoy!
