    GWRS. Couldn't be easier,

Rind of 5 lemons, make sure no pith. Pour over 1ltr vodka ( I use supermarket  cheapest) put in tight jar for a week and shake at least once a day    After a week put 1 kg sugar in a bowl and pour 700mls boiling water over.  Add lemon mixture and stir really well

Leave until cold, strain , bottle , sit back and enjoy the compliments ?

Morning anyone who's around, and aftiesPat if you're there.

Sparkly here again - covered the car last night so it wasn't too bad taking daughter to work. It's ust above zero just now. Looks like it could eb a n ice sunrise. Glenshee road is looking pants right now so I may need a change of plant if I wnat to walk. Everywhere this side is a bit iffy again.

Heating on so house is cosy, and I'll have a look round here with another cuppa.

LP - 'rind of 5 lemons - make sure no pith'- were you taking the pith?

Hi Fairy. I’ve been busy defrosting a freezer and preparing a supply of cards to take in to the gallery tomorrow. We’ve got light rain today.image Yippee!

    Morning all.

Frost here, but not as white and sparkly as yesterday.

Hi BL - meant to say , can you get other batteries for the camera, or is it one that has to be charged up?

Do you think the rain will be enough Pat?

Gritters have been busy Dove, so the roads were ok. Glenshee road is right snowy though, and my car is rubbish on it, so I may have to tootle around somewhere locally instead or just stick to the treadmill today.

Not enough rain Fairy, but every bit helps. Out tanks are still on a good level.

  • The road at the bottom of the rise is usually gritted cos it's a bus route ... But I didn't hear the gritters go past last evening and I usually notice them ... Maybe because today is Sunday and the buses don't start until later.

BL are you coming into Norwich on this visit?  You can usually get suitable replacement chargers from Maplins on Castle Meadow.

Good morning.   Bright and sunny again but currently -0.6C.    _4C overnight.   I hope that's enough to help stratify the seeds I sowed yesterday.   Cold enough to send Minstrel burrowing under our patchwork quilt and for me to think maybe we need to turn on the bedroom radiator.

No gardening today then but that's OK as it's the Xmas market today with local foodie traders and crafty people and general Xmas stalls too.  Brunch on the hoof and maybe some prezzies.

We passed a large pond as deep and empty as ours yesterday Pat.   Just a bit of green algae stuff in the bottom.  Hope you get yours filled soon.

Busy -  Are you there long enough to make it worth buying a spare charger to keep in Norfolk?

FG - hope you find a hill that's safe to get to - other road users can be as bad as snow and black ice.  Do you have winter tyres?  They make a huge difference.

Slow roast belly pork here too Dove.  Might marinade it first.

Enjoy your stir-up Sunday everyone, whether stirring or not.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Thank you, Dove. When we are next in Norwich I'll try Maplins, I know where it is, I just didn't know where to buy one. Any chance of seeing you?
