Back home now and have survived another psychologist appt. she’s very nice, so it helps to talk to someone. I’d like to get off the medication, but not much chance of that with my GPS mindset.
Chicky, I’m counting down too. I hope you really enjoy your visit.
Dacha, I was always a fan of Footrot Flats too. I’m glad you’re getting a laugh out of it,
Morning all/afties Pat. Glad all went well for you
Chilly here, about seven when I fed the hungry little birds - but dry for now. I had to go out at about seven last night for a few things, and it was already single figures, so I suppose it's been quite cold overnight.
Not long now chicky - and enjoy youngest chicklet time
I contacted a butterfly site last night re that caterpillar and got a reply. Seems it's a Grey Dagger moth. One of the photos was pretty identical. It gets a little hump on it's back soon, to go with the other 'sticky up' bit. Correct biological term there.
What's really nice is there was some text about them being reared on blackthorn, so I think my hedge is doing some good stuff, as the caterpillar was only a few feet away from the hedge.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Oh fairy ....you do make me laugh ......reminds me I must watch that great movie again 'The Sticky Up Of Notre-Dame "
.....off to the airport soon to fly to Manchester for a few days with my kids and granddaughter ......I'll come back completely exhausted ....a three year old tornado

gives you a warm fuzzy, " at one with nature" feeling Fairy.
Sad, isn't it Hosta?
It's very rewarding. I'll be out there keeping an eye out for it changing as it grows. They get quite big and chunky before they 'moth up'.

Does anyone remember that ad for BT ? I always loved it. Good ol' Quasimodo
Enjoy your trip Dacha. You'll need a lie down in a darkened room afterwards.
