Obelixx said "I'm a 60's music child and found the 70s, 80s and 90s to be dire by comparison with one or two exceptions. " - Same here.

Haven't done weeding yet. OH bought some gram flour (chickpea), never used it before so have tried a couple of recipes for herby flatbreads. OK, but not totally inspiring. The one grilled with grated cheese on wasn't bad but I'm on a diet. Changed sheets and hung out washing.

It's chick pea flour Busy.  I've been using it in chick pea fritters all summer - flour, curry powder or individual spices if you prefer or even dried herbs then s&p an egg and enough milk to moisten it to hold your chosen veg - sliced onion, grated and squeezed courgette, grated carrots or raw beetroot, broccoli or cauli florets.  Dollop into deep or shallow fat and fry till cooked.  Drain well.  We have them with salad and a mint and chili raita.    More ideas here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/chickpea_flour

Major raid on the SM this morning plus present shopping.  Tomorrow we are invited to a dinner dance birthday and retirement party for a couple we met at dance classes.   On Sunday, 6 of my scientists are coming for lunch after booking themselves a weekend in La Rochelle so they could come and say hello.  Ryanair flight!  but not cancelled.   They're getting bread and butter pudding made with Vendée brioche or blackcurrant crumble for pud.  Kill 'em or cure 'em.

Back to the cleaning and cooking then, and deciding which frock for tomorrow.  Has to have a twirl for all those pivots and spins.

    Afternoon. Another pleasant Autumn day.

Been 'crafting' with neice - we did Autumn themed pictures using tissue paper to make leaves etc. Very therapeutic.

Borderline headache now so good excuse for cuppa, feet-up and Escape To The Country.

Hope everyone has a Friday feeling.

Afternoon all. Just taking a break from preparing the dogs meals. I've realised that I have developed a scar on my hand from how I hold the meat shears when I do his meals.

    Damaged for life!
