Nice feet Dacha. image Perfectly square like good Celtic feet should be! image

My ex "broke" shoes so I took him to have his feet measured. The chap who did it must have been close to retirement and as he shook his head pityingly he said..." I've seen as wide, but I've never seen wider!" image

BL that's a shocker. How much bad luck can one person cram in to a minute and a half!!! I hope you get it sorted soon.

Good to see you DD. Still a human dynamo!

Clari my pal's OH once bought her perfume and reckoned that as it was hideously expensive it must be lovely! image How can boys, gifted with the same organs and upbringing as the rest of us, be so dopey?

    No offence boys! image

    Morning all/afties Pat.

Been emptying my old wardrobe for the arrival of the new one. Just have to take it apart and get it in the car now  image

Ppauper - I'm glad I now have no one to buy me perfume. I hate the stuff - makes me feel ill! I can't go into those department stores that have a glut of 'counters' with over made up bints trying to spray you when you walk past. ...image

Hope Hosta has a good drive.....image

You must have needed the sleep Dove  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Had a lovely day with Hosta and his OH yesterday.  Nice piece of courgette cake, thanks to Doves recipe.

At least  he has nice places to drive around on his deliveries, unless he has Barnstable down on his list today, horrible place.

There are some lovely places along the coast road, I know he likes those. I’ve only seen the sea one  day this year.?

Lyn, I have only spent three years of my life living away from the coast and hated it.

A super day for the garden yesterday and most of my bulbs got planted image

Fairy, I hope you manage to get one decent rain/mist/wind free day for the hills this week.

BL, hope the aches from your fall are improving.

Glad you like the cake Lyn ... it's a good one isn't it? image  And glad you had a good day ... we don't go many weeks without getting to the coast ... it feels necessary somehow image

Fairy, Wonky used to feel just like that about the perfumery parts of department stores.  She does sometimes wear a light perfume nowadays ... think it's Mark Jacob's Daisy that she likes ... but at one time I couldn't get her through the doors of her local Debenhams 'because of the smell' .

OH is heading for the bank and the shops for me ... when I've finished this coffee I'll be cutting grass ...

    Morning all.
Thanks Joyce, they are improving, but still taking painkillers and waking up at night. A man from a cleaning firm is coming this morning to do an estimate and say what needs doing.

Hi everyone. I agree with Fairy and Wonky. Avoid those perfume counters at all cost. I have a friend who always dabs some on, and it’s all I can do not to say something.

We‘ve had a very nice day, weather wise today. It’ll be interesting to see how tomorrow develops.

Hubby dug up an unwanted shrub for me today. It appeared in one of my veg beds a couple of years ago, but this year I determined that it’s to go somewhere else. It’s a native hemp - named for its bark strips, not what everyone else decides must be why it’s named so. image

I think the reason why I rarely go to the coast could be because we live here, we can go anytime we want, so don’t. We have a Castle in town, I’ve never been in there even though it’s only about five miles from here,  but have visited plenty of castles miles away.

We did go to Hartland a few weeks ago, did the lovely walk to the sea and lookey at the cottage used in Pride and Prejudice by the Dashwood ladies.  Have walked that many times before but it is nice. Hartland is one of out favourite places, along with  Tintagel and Boscasle.

Roland is out that way working every week so it doesnt seem much like a break to him.

I suppose we take it for granted so don’t bother.
