The iodine lines thing is fascinating - good job you haven't hurt your face then!

I think many home remedies are often just a comfort thing -  to have someone giving you a massage, making you a hot drink or generally paying you some care and attention is quite nice when you feel in pain etc. I do wonder though, if herbs, iodine, hot stones, crystals etc. are so wonderful - why don't you see them being used on Intensive Care Units etc?? (Just answered my own question there).

Dacha - my son had a little jar of the scary green stuff (given to him by his ex's grandmother). He put it on any infected cuts etc and swore it worked almost immediately. As for the hot glass jar treatment, I've had that done to my injured back and shoulder by a physio here on the NHS ...the bruising was amazing but  it certainly helped with the healing process image

Nice feet by the way image

Am I too late again? I expect you’re all tucked up in bed now.

I’ve been to town Dacha, so haven’t checked in for a few hours. Lovely sunny day here about 20 c or thereabouts. Interestingly, the Weather Bureau predicted rain today and for the rest of the week, but there’s not a cloud to be seen and it’s already 5pm. I don’t know which clouds their satalite is watching.

Does iodine glow in the dark to help you remember where your feet are perhaps?

Funny isn't it how when we bash something it seems a target. Have you ever noticed that the moment you slice your finger you get a to do list positively littered with needing to wash your hands repeatedly. Last week I got a blister on my finger and had to do the ward rounds. Alcohol gel both in and out of every ward? I was nearly crying by the end of it

Sorry Clari ..have I upset you for any reason?

Of course you haven't. I was merely  curious about the properties of iodine stripes. I didn't think I came across as rise of hostile.

    Morning all.

Another long day in the offing?

" I know you're driving late on Tuesday, but do you fancy doing an early as well?"

    At least it's dry.

    Devon.
