    Fab photos everyone  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Lots of sunbathing birds this week. They always look like they have crash-landed and are a bit stunned.

First time I've spotted Robins doing it.

This Thrush just used the garden furniture. I often see birds do this near ants nests and assumed they were getting a parasite cleaning service.

The Roe Deer kid is growing up fast. Snacking on some wild raspberries on the wild banking next to the woods.

  • Only managed to get a very quick and distant snap before this fella flew away... ID?

  • A Red Admiral perhaps?
  • It is a Red Admiral.

Yes - Red Admiral. Ours are a bit later - usually into August - which is worryingly soon! The peacocks have just arrived, but I haven't got any pix yet. We usually have plenty of torties by now, and I haven't seen many.
Meant to say  - brilliant photos steephill. Lovely to see them doing that  :)

    Beautiful photo B)
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
